Hello, I know that I have probably never met many of you people who are reading this blog. I hope that this blog has influenced you for good, even though I have only posted stories. But now I have a personal request for all you readers...... Currently I have been going through some very hard times in my life. I would simply like to ask for you all to pray for me, that I make the right decisions in these coming weeks before I do something that could permanently mess up my life....
Yours Truly

How The Lion Instilled Fear Into The Animals
How The Lion Instilled Fear into the Animals
Once
upon a time, before men had begun to build our magnificent buildings, before we
had begun to build any buildings, when the world still belonged to the animals,
there was a beautiful creature. He had a long curly tail, soft golden yellow
hair, a large furry mane and intelligent, thought provoking, brown eyes. He was
muscular from head to toe; every inch of him bristled with muscle. God had
named this creature a lion. Now in order for you to understand the story I must
delve off the main story and explain some things to you. In his time animals
were much different than today in many ways. For starters most of them were
vegetarians, and the ones that did eat meat only ate dead animals. They had
small kingdoms which were ruled by one race of animals (In this story we will
only talk about one of these kingdoms). This particular kingdom was in what is
now called South Sudan; it was located on the savannah, and was ruled by lions.
This kingdom was medium sized with about 15,000 animals of all kinds and about
50 lions. These lions were not like today’s lions, they, like most animals,
were vegetarians; however the most extraordinary difference between the lions
of then and the lions of now is that back then they ruled the kingdom
peacefully, justly, and fairly. They treated all of their citizens with respect
and treated them like close friends. One day the animals of the savannah
decided that they did not want to be ruled by a few people any more. They
decided that they wanted to make their own decisions and to be governed by
people that they chose, with the majority deciding the major decisions. They
started to practice and train for a revolt, (which was no small task for
creatures who had never killed a living thing before) they spent months
learning to bite, kill and to be ruthless in their behavior. On the 3rd
day of the 7th month that they had been training they struck. They
attacked and ruthlessly murdered the lions, who despite their bodies being
built for killing had no training or experience in killing because they never
had before. They killed dozens of lions. Soon there were only 10 lions left (This
is where the young lion comes in). The young lion became furious; he assembled
all of the remaining lions, which were scattered all over the savannah. They
went in to hiding from the animals. While they were in hiding they trained and
learned the most painful ways to kill the animals. After a number of days they
planned their attack. They planned to attack them when the animals were
gathered together to elect a leader. They planned to burn all of the grass and
vegetation on the savannah. After that they would let the lack of food weaken
the animals, and then they would kill them at leisure. Their plan worked
perfectly. They killed thousands of animals in mere months. Soon there were
only a few hundred animals left. The lions soon realized that they were in
quite a predicament. With no animals or vegetation left the
lions began to starve. They were still furious however and not ready to forgive
the animals. After much discussion and argument, they compromised and decided to have just enough animals to keep
everything going and the rest they would kill and eat. That is why today the
animals on the savannah fear the lion and the lion kills the animals. The moral
of this story is to think about the consequences of your actions and then act
accordingly.

My First Play
My First Play:
lol i guess its becoming obvious that i love to write stories.. Here is a play that I wrote last night for my performing arts teacher. Me and my friends performed it today in class and got a standing ovation.... I apologize for all of the cussing, I just wrote what I felt would help the audience best relate to the characters.Man (Adam Y. Edwards) : I am a man, I am on my deathbed, I’m the sole survivor of my family, the rest were killed in the collapse of the World Trade Center on September 11,2001, the only reason that I am still living is because I was recovering from a heck of a hangover that day and was to sick and tired that day to get to my father’s 67 birthday on time. They were on the top floor, in the restaurant in building number 1. Hah, where was there God then huh. All they wanted me to do was to meet them sober and on time at 7:30 to surprise dad. But no, I’m too much of a fuckup to even do that correctly, instead, as soon as I was recovered enough from my hangover I ran to the nearest bar and got stone cold drunk again, when they announced on the TV that the tower had been hit I was so drunk I thought I was watching an action movie. A little bit after that I went outside and passed out in a sloppy heap. I was soon awakened by the sound of sirens wailing, people screaming and firefighters rushing away from something, as I reached to rub my groggy eyes I noticed that they were covered in a thick dust. I began to throw up and cough from the fog, only to realize that it wasn’t fog I was inhaling, but in reality a fine cloud of floating dust and debris, I ran, filled with nothing but the urge to survive, when I finally got out of the dust, I curled up in a ball and slept. When I awoke the horrifying reality hit, me the world trade center had fallen somehow with my parents and family in it. The “movie” I had been watching had really been live footage of the plane hitting the buildings. Now for most people this depressing reality would have driven them into the arms of a close family member or to the doors of a church, but no not me, I had no family left and I wasn’t gonna go to no church. So instead I drowned it in the very thing that caused all of this mess for me in the first place, the bottle. My best friend and my worst enemy. I should be dead with my family, why the hell was I the one that survived and them the ones that died. They were the best people I had ever met, they never did anything wrong, they broke their backs to send me to a good private school even though I spat in their faces. They still loved me through all of the hell that I brought them through. It was at that moment in my life that I decided that I would kill myself and join my family wherever the hell I was. I figured if there was a God he either didn’t give a damn about me or he had turned his back on the world. I went to my parent’s house and in their master bathtub, slit my wrists with a piece of glass. When I woke up doctor, I was here with by wrists bandaged and a throbbing headache.
Doctor (Mariah
Huggins): Well you are in New York Mental Hospital in the Psychiatric Ward.
You were discovered soon after you slit your wrists by your parent’s next door
neighbor. They said that they heard someone in the house breaking things and
making a racket and thought it was a robber and went to investigate and found
you in the bathtub. We bandaged you,
brought you hear and place you on 24 hour suicide watch. I am your psychologist
while you are here and in order to help you I need to ask you a few questions.
Now why did you choose your parents house to commit suicide? Why not someon……
Man interrupts her...
Man (Adam Y. Edwards): It’s none of your business doctor, I have already told you much more than you need to know about me and I really don’t feel like talking anymore. I’m pissed off, depressed; my family just died somewhere I should have been. I really don’t feel like hearing your Goddamn psychoanalysis right now. Get the hell out of here and let go back to being depressed.
Doctor( Mariah
Huggins): Have you ever thought about this, that maybe other people died in
this terrible crisis than your family. I don’t know if you have watched the new
in the past few days but thousands of people have died, they are saying that
this was worse than Pearl Harbor. I lost my husband in this crisis, do you
think I’m hurting, hell yea I am, but you don’t find me somewhere crying about
it. No instead I am here at this Goddamn hospital listening to you rambling on
about how horrible your life is… I know that most doctors don’t talk like this
to their patients but I’m sick of it, for the last half hour you have boo hoo’d
about yourself…. The world doesn’t revolve around you, nor are you the only one
hurting.
Man (Adam Y Edwards):
GET OUT OF HERE!!!!! NOW!!
Doctor (Mariah
Huggins): Sobs and leaves. Goes to
her office and watches him on a security camera.
Demons enter from opposite ends of stage
Demon 1 (Isaiah Thompson):Yes, kill yourself.
Demon 1 (Isaiah Thompson):Yes, kill yourself.
Demon 2: (Eric Perry):
Your worthless, you killed your family, you stupid diphthong.
Demon 1 (Isaiah
Thompson): God doesn’t exist
Demon 2: (Eric
Perry): God abandoned you
Demon 1 (Isaiah
Thompson): That doctor hates you.
Demon 2: (Eric
Perry): You’re a homeless man with no future, a crappy past, no money
whatsoever, and no life.
Demon 1 (Isaiah
Thompson): You’re a selfish, evil, drunken menace to society.
Demon 2: (Eric
Perry): You have the equivalent of a 5th grade education.
Demon 1 (Isaiah
Thompson): You’re a 37 year old man who has never held a job for more than
2 months in his life, the New York times named you New York’s drunkard, your
high school voted you least likely to succeed, you even failed the 9th
grade 4 times.
Demon 2: (Eric
Perry): You’ve been sent to jail twice.
Demon 1 (Isaiah
Thompson) and Demon 2 (Eric Perry): So kill yourself you worthless piece of
shit. You will just be doing the world a favor.
Man (Adam Y Edwards):
Grabs head, sinks to knees, knife
trembling in hand, screams in rage, raises the knife, stands up, swings the
knife downward towards his wrist…
Doctor (Mariah
Huggins): Sees him with knife in hand
on camera ,runs into room and places her own wrists in front of the knife, thus
sacrificing her life so he would live.
Man (Adam Y Edwards): Gasp’s in horror
Doctor (Mariah
Huggins): Remember, you always have something to live for. Even though it
may seem like there is no hope, God has a plan. Now go live your life. Doctor dies
Man (Adam Y Edwards):
Man screams out in pure, undefiled
anguish, WHY GOD, WHY HAVE YOU DONE THIS TO ME. Man slits his wrists and slowly bleeds out, thinking of his life and
the things that could have been done different.

How the Giraffe Got its Neck
How the Giraffe Got its Neck by Adam Y. Edwards
Long ago far before man, when the
world was just beginning God was thinking. He was in the process of creating
the creatures to inhabit the earth. He decided to make special animals to lead
the others. He thought of a sleek, black, catlike creature that would use fear
to control the other animals in the jungle (the panther). He thought of another
animal, this one a large, undersea creature with sharp teeth, large jaws, and
special “radar” to detect underwater prey from a long way off (the shark). This
one, like the panther largely ruled his kingdom using fear and intimidation.
God placed him in charge of the ocean. But God wasn’t finished; he made yet
another animal, this one much smaller, to rule the colder areas of the world.
This creature was the smallest but most terrifying of all. This creature had a
grey, sleek coat of fur to keep it warm, long sharp teeth with jagged edges to
rip the flesh off of any creature who dared to opposed it, but that’s not it,
he made this creature a pack of smaller but still terrifying animals just like
it to help it accomplish its goals.
He had made a ruler for every
different place in the new world except for one…. The African prairie. He spent
day’s thinking of the perfect animal, but still his mind was devoid of it. On the fifth day he grew frustrated, dark
clouds rolled over the earth, thunder pealed, and lightning flashed,
earthquakes rattled the earth. Hearing the commotion his young son, Jesus ran
to his father “STOP!!!” he shouted. “Don’t take your frustration out on the
world.” he begged, “why don’t you make the animal peaceful, gentle and humble
instead of violent, domineering, and intimidating.” He said. “That’s preposterous, get out of my sight!”
That evening however, he thought
about what his dear son had said and decided to try his idea.( After all, they
were both the same person!)Unfortunately however all of his powerful (strength,
size, confidence, bravery) materials and characteristics) had been used on the previous
animals. The only traits that were left
were beauty and intelligence . God worked for hours on this animal. The result
was stunning. The animal was about 5 feet long with beautiful, yellow fur. It
was brilliant too; its intelligence surpassed all other animals except for 2:
the serpent and the human. He was so intelligent even, that he and God
conversed with each other sometimes, and God considered him his best creation.
In time however he became prideful and started to take advantage of the
other animals. He stopped treating them as equals and started treating them as
slaves. He even had forced them to begin making a shrine to him. When God heard
about his cruel, dishonest, prideful ways he cursed him saying”you have lost my
blessing, I will take from you your beauty: your yellow fur will be ruined with
brown splotches, your head will be dented and ugly, your neck will become long
so that your height will alienate you from the other animals, and worst of all
you will lose your ability to talk and your intelligence and you will become
dumb like the others.
Terrified, the giraffe ran away from
God. He ran past his shrine, he ran for hours, while he was running he tripped
and hit his head on a rock leaving a long narrow dent in his forehead. Still terrified
he got up and continued to run, disoriented, he tripped again and fell in the
mud, when he rose, as God had told him, he had dirty brown splotches all over
his body. Too tired to run, he walked for a little while and saw something
shiny in a thicket; sticking his head in the thicket he searched around, hoping
it was some sort of food. He searched and searched but he couldn't find
anything but leaves. When he tried to pull his head out of the thicket he
noticed that he was stuck. He pulled and
pulled and pulled, but he couldn't pull his head free. The more he pulled the longer his neck got,
finally after about 8 hours of being stuck God came and freed him from the
thicket.
Sobbing, the giraffe begged him to
change him back to a beautiful creature. “Your physical change is complete” God
said.”From now on you will be a stupid, mute creature just like the rest of the
animals.” The giraffe tried to scream but the only thing that came out was a
muted garble. The giraffe's transformation was complete; he had been
transformed from a beautiful, cunning creature into a long-necked, dented fore
headed, ugly creature.
