So its been a little while since i've posted. I keep say i'm going to get better at this, and post more often, but I never do. I guess I should do a brief update on my life. I'm graduated from high school, and quite literally again all odds I am a student at University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC). I've been blessed so much, and am so absolutely ecstatic to be here, beginning my journey, starting a new life. So join me along the ride, and trust me, its gonna be a ride.... A Brief Post on Relationships
So someone on ask.fm asked me to do a post on relationships. I'm not really the best source of advice on yrelationships, because I've never really been in a healthy relationship, so I guess I'll just talk, and we will see what happens.
Relationships between human beings, whether sexual in nature or purely platonic, are always extremely complex and multifaceted. That's all I can really think to say on the topic. Oh, and that relationships are never just purely between 2 people. They are always affected by a myriad of extenuating factors such as the family of the 2 parties involved, finances, previous relationships, living situations, and a whole host of other things, and all contribute to the success or failure of a relationship.
Relationships change, as people change, and grow as people grow.... If you look at a couple that has been together for any amount of time whatsoever, and then look at them again in a few years, or even in a few months, the relationship will look different, and the difference will be immediately obvious.
Hmmm, beededededee, what else do I have to say on the topic? Ummm, oh, that in order to have a healthy, long lasting relationship, both parties must base the very foundations of their relationship on some insoluble, impermeable, unchanging source. For many, that is their religious beliefs, for others it might be something different, either way, it sets your relationship up for success.
Oh, and communication. Open, honest, and in depth communication is extremely helpful in making relationships work. Make a point to try to spend more time talking to your friend/boyfriend/girlfriend/whatever or whoever your applying this advice to in person, or at least over the phone or video chat than you do texting them. It's hard to maintain a relationship if its predominantly located in the virtual realm, trust me, I can attest to that.
Well, that's about the depth of my knowledge on the subject, at least that I'm willing to share. I think the reason it's so hard to give good relationship advice is because, there is no cure all, solve all formula of if you follow these steps, your relationships will be perfect, each relationship is different, and as a result, has a different formula. It's up to you and your other to figure out what that formula is.

A Brief Snapshot of my Time in High Point
So today is Tuesday, March 25, 2014, at about 1:15pm I am currently in High Point, North Carolina doing Humanitarian Aid and natural disaster relief with the Samaritans purse. Ive been here since sunday Night, and this is my second day on the Job. It's 35 degrees outside today, and rainy, and all I'm wearing is a t shirt under a hoody. I'm soaked to the bone, tired, and cold, and we still have 4 more hours before the workday ends. I'm not getting paid, I'm the youngest person here by 8 years ( the next older guy 25, then the next youngest guy after him is 40). I'm still in school, so I'm doing homework during the car rides from work site to work site. Why the heck am I doing this you ask? Because I love people, and these people need help. My body is absolutely miserable, but my soul and spirit couldn't be any happier. This is my calling, helping those who need help.
P.S, this is pretty old, I just got around to posting it.
The Beauty of Humanity
Humanity is beautiful. I've always known that, but I've always wondered why. We are so hateful, so selfish, so angry, so prone to acts of brutal savagery at the slightest provocation. How the Hell can we be beautiful? But see that's the thing. We are prone to all those horrid acts above, but we also have, somewhere deep inside us, a little ember of love smolders, a miniscule, pitiful specimen of a thing, that can barely be seen. We have every reason to give in to the devastatingly powerful temptation to do wrong, to injure ourselves and our fellow mankind, yet for some strange, unimaginable reason, some unknown, mysterious force inside is us of us quells those urges, and instead carefully and patiently blows and fans that smoldering ember inside us until it eventually reaches our heart, where it smolders, and eventually becomes a fire. Some of our hearts are less "flammable" per say than others, producing small, fragile little fires, and others of ours ignite into glorious, beautiful bonfires of love, that spark off onto other people. Spreading like a virus, until it engulfs vast areas, with no limit to how far it can spread. But that fragile little ember can also be stomped out, extinguished, leaving behind cold, "heartless" beings devoid of all conscience, who have no qualms about doing whatever they so please, only satisfying themselves. Most of us spend the extent of our lives teetering on the edge, able to go either way, becoming a beautiful bonfire, or a cold heartless creature. I say creature because the heart is what makes us human, and the heart cannot live without love. They have lost their humanity. To live life without your humanity is to not live at all. So I say to you, the beauty of humanity is that whatever we become, it all starts with a spark.

Who am I?
I am a walking contradiction, full of the most wonderful love, and the blackest hate. I am capable of great things, things that will change the world, but also capable of destroying it. I fail often, and rarely succeed. I've seen beauty at its finest, and evil in its prime... The scary things is, they don't look that different. I've helped many people, and been savior to some, but I've also hurt many others, and become their greatest nightmare... I have a heart full of love, but also full of hate. I am bitter, angry, hurt, and spiteful, but I'm also loving... I can be rational at times, irrational at others... I see everything, but comprehend little. I'm brilliant, but in many ways stupid. I live 2 lives, and you'll never see both, I am genuine, but also fake.
I am human

What Does It Mean To Hold A Heart in Your Hands
|
What does it mean to hold a heart in your
hands??
The
greatest honor, nay the highest, most powerful kind of respect you can show
someone is too trust them with the most vulnerable part of your being....
Your heart (the essence of your being, the moral fiber that keeps you intact)
You
can take somebody's body by force but the heart must be and Can only be
freely as a gift, a kind of “love offering” to whoever or whatever you
cherish....For the purpose of this discussion, I will be talking about what
happens when a person, not a thing holds your heart.
Whomever has your heart can do whatever the
hell they want with it, which is why such a practice is so daring and even
dangerous.... The holder of your heart can cherish and hold it for the
immeasurable treasure it is, or they can play and toy with it like a cheap
dollar store toy, using it to accomplish their own shallow, selfish goals at
your expense, discarding it (and you) when it is broken, or when they no
longer have a use for it/ want it..... So why do we as humans as a whole want
so bad to have someone hold our hearts, and to hold someone else's in
return?? Why are we so stupid as to take part in a practice that we know has
a good chance of leading us to heartbreak, to the greatest mental pain and
anguish that we can experience on this side of the earth? Why do we trust
someone we know will most likely hurt us?
The reason for this seemingly stupid,
grossly impulsive decision is that we as a human species are risk takers, we
will risk it all for the great reward, forsaking the treasures we already
have.... When it comes to relationships, trusting a person with your heart
has great risks, but can have even greater rewards.....
You
see, a loving, committed relationship between 2 people brings the most immense
pleasure ever experienced... It is hard work yes, but the feeling of having
someone who knows you, your flaws, your past, the side of you that you hide,
and does not love you in spite of your flaws, but because of them..... The
feeling of having someone you don't have to lie to, that you can love
unashamedly.... Someone you can trust, love and ultimately be open with. To
trust is to love, and to love is to live…. Love is beautiful, love is trustworthy, and
love is divine. I want to end this brief diatribe, with 2 quotes: One from
the Bible, and another from a Russian composer named Igor Stravinsky:
If I
speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy
gong or a clanging cymbal. And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all
mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove
mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give away all I have, and if I deliver
up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing. Love is patient and kind; love does not envy
or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is
not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices
with the truth. Love bears all things,
believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things. Love never ends.
As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as
for knowledge, it will pass away.
1 Corinthians 13: 1-8
Is it not by love alone that we succeed in
penetrating to the very essence of being? –Igor Stravinsky

Pain And Pleasure
In my opinion, our entire lives revolve around the pursuit of two things; the pursuit of pleasure, and fleeing from pain. Almost from the time we leave the womb, we discover what brings pleasure (things like being held, or eating), and what brings pain (being ignored or getting hit). As we grow older, everything we do begins to revolve around these 2 feelings. It is our human nature to avoid anything that brings us pain, and pursue anything or anyone that brings us pleasure. Here are some examples:
- We eat to avoid the pain in our stomachs that come from not eating. Eating anything is not good enough however, in today’s society we will go out of our way to find and eat something that tastes good. We stand in line for ridiculously long amounts of time then pay exorbitant prices, just to eat something that tastes good (Georgetown Cupcakes, Rita’s Italian-Ice, Cold stone Creamery, etc)
- We enter into dating relationships to avoid the pain of being alone, and to have someone to share pleasure with (Doing something with someone you love is automatically better than doing it alone, no matter what it is!).
- We avoid exercise because to us, the pleasure of looking good, and being fit and trim is not worth the pain, and sweat that it will take to achieve that goal.
Unfortunately, in my opinion, we as a society have become masters of this endless game of pursue and flee. WE need to do things because they bring glory to God, not because we enjoy them. Not all good things are pleasurable, and not all pleasurable things are good.

The Devil
Hey guys!!! Today, I have a poem for you guys!!, I wrote it like awhile ago, and just found it... Anyway I thought it was good, so I typed it up for you all..... Here you go::
The Devil:
The devil is an inherently evil creature,
He is out to destroy Christians and deface God’s Scripture
He has been on earth since before humans,
He will not stop until humanity is in ruin,
His goal is to drag all men with him into hell,
So he can feast on our souls while we rot in a cell,
He always craving, always hungry,
He will stop at nothing to have us,
And still he will be hungry,
He is always planning, always scheming,
To cause us pain, he likes our screaming,
He has been behind every war, battle, fight, and skirmish,
It pleasures him to watch the carnage,
He loves to watch lying, lusting and everything else that Christ finds spiritually disgusting,
He is a master at deception,
Us naïve humans, we are far too trusting,
We “follow our heart”, and “do what feels right”,
Never knowing that our heart is evil, and our feelings corrupted,
For our bodies are weak, easily controlled,
But in our spirits lie powerful, strongholds,
The devil knows this, so what does he do?,
He uses our body to attack our spirit,
O he is so clever, that spineless worm,
He attacks us at every turn,
He tempts our weak body to do sinful things,
Then has us hating ourselves for doing the sinful deed,
He warps our thinking, slowly destroys our ability to judge wrong from right,
Makes us hate good and love evil, so wrong feels right,
It is easy for him, though we fight with all our might,
We are born into a struggle, wrong or right,
Our Spirit is good, it wants to do right
But our bodies have an inherent love for evil,
We are a confused people,
We have been ever since Adam took that fatal bite,
Our body is our fatal weakness, our Achilles heel,
With it the devil makes us suffer, he makes us kneel,
But let me tell you he has a weakness, a fatal flaw
So let me tell you them, to aid you, so you do not fall,
He hates scripture with all his might,
It is his poison, his kryptonite,
Just hearing it mentioned makes his head feel light,
Hearing it spoken puts him to flight,
So when you’re being attacked, and you need a hand, just say a verse,
One related to the struggle at hand,
If you do I guarantee, he will flee,
So next time you’re in a tiff,
just say a verse and he will be gone in a jiff,

Hate
Hate
Hate is a powerful
thing. Hate degrades and corrupts.
Ultimately if hate
is not diffused it will explode like a bomb, destroying the hater and injuring
everyone around him.
Hate typically hurts the person who is
hating and those who love him far more than it hurts the person who is being
hated upon.
Hate can drive you to do things that you would
never imagine, it can and will turn you into a monster, devoid of all reason.
Hate, however can be controlled with much
effort. It can be used as the fuel for many great things. It can help you
accomplish your goals.
I view hate as a large vicious animal, if
it is tamed and trained, it can be your best friend; it can protect you, it can
even be trained to do helpful things for you.
However it is still a wild animal at heart,
and can attack you at the slightest provocation, or even unprovoked at any
time.
If you don’t control your hate, it will
control you.

Lies
Lies, life is built around them, the world revolves around
them. They are the foundation for which many relationships are based, chances
are in fact that someone is lying to you right now. Lies corrode trust, and
without trust, there is no relationship. Since everybody lies why should you
trust? since you have lied, Why should you trust yourself?

Best Day In A While!!
So yesterday over Skype I finally told the
girl that I have liked for the past 7 months how I felt about her. It was super
awkward, and for the first time in like forever I didn’t know what to say. It
was weird because I typically always know exactly what to say around girls, but
with this particular one I am normally really like awkward. When I am around
her my words always come out really jumbled and stuff. She is really awesome: like she is beautiful.
She is 5’9 with beautiful fair skin, she has long brown hair with, golden
blonde highlights. She is super friendly and has the cutest laugh. She is
really mature, and a super strong Christian. We have been really best friends
for a while, and have gotten like super close in the last month… I have been super scared to tell her how I
feel because I really valued our friendship and didn’t want to mess it up or
hinder it if she didn’t feel the same way… I tried to suppress them for the
sake of our friendship, but they wouldn’t go away, instead they just grew and got
more powerful each time I saw her… Yesterday I just couldn’t hold them in
anymore and finally told her. Any way so our convo went something like this:
Me: Yea hey ____
can I be real with you for a minute
The Girl: Sure, what’s
up
Awkward Silence
Me: Umm, never
mind, I will just talk to you about it later…
The Girl: You
sure
Me: Yea
Change of Subject, we
come back to this about 10 min later
Me: You know
what, _____ I have wanted to say this to you since I first met you in
September, You’re beautiful, like you’re stunning. But like I’m not just
talking about your looks, like your beautiful on the inside and out. Like I’m
sure you hear this all the time, but I just wanted to let you know that’s how I
feel about you. Like, on the real I have like you since the minute I met you at
that picnic in September, I just have been to scared of rejection to tell you
how I feel.
The Girl: Yea,
um…. That’s lame!!
Me: umm uhh
sorry, darn curse my awkwardness!!!
The Girl: No, no,
no !!! Not you, what you said was sweet, I was talking about what I what I was
about to say…. I was thinking out loud!!! Like I’m super nervous right now…like
I’m shaking, and my heart is racing… I feel the same way… Like your awesome,
and every time I see you, you surprise me with something new about you… Like we
have a lot in common, and that we are on the same page spiritually in a lot of
ways….
Me: Umm could you
hold on for a second, I have to go get something…
I mute the mike and
turn off the cam and just spend like 30 seconds screaming and shouting and
dancing with joy!!.
Me: I’m back,
sorry, any way what were you saying….
The call drops out,
I call her back
Me: Ugh stupid
skype….
The Girl : I know
right!!
At this point my
little sister kinda ruins it all by coming downstairs and messing with me on
cam, but it made the girl laugh so it was ok. My sister says my mom wants me
and goes back upstairs
Me: So yea, I
gotta go, sorry…. I am glad we feel the same way about each other… I guess we
will have to continue this conversation tomorrow when we see each other…
The Girl: Yea, we
will, because there is a lot of stuff that I have to talk to you about!!
Me: Yea, me too.
Before I go though, I have one major question…. What do your parents feel about
dating??
The Girl: I
really don’t know, when I was dating James, they kinda got used to it, but I
never actually met him, so yea that was kinda different than me and you…. Since
you’re like my best friend and all… I will have to ask them.. What about your
parents?
Me: Well I really don’t know, like they were
against me dating Mariah, but I did it anyway…. This time though I am going to
have to spend a lot of time praying and stuff, because I don’t want our
relationship to be like my last one. Without my parents blessing things didn’t
go so well…. Plus I wanna honor my parents and all, so yea I really hope they
are ok with it…. I am gonna have to figure out how to ask them, and hopefully I
will ask them at the right time…. So yea I really have to go
The Girl: Ok,
well we both definitely have a lot to think about
Me: Yea, well see
you tomorrow
The Girl: Yea,
bye
Me: bye
The Girl: See you
tomorrow
Me: See you tomorrow

My Night At The Statehouse
So I’m in the Prince George’s County Youth
Commissioners. They are a group of teenagers that were specially picked for
their community service, grades and other criteria. We represent each public
high school, and each large private high school. We weigh in on things in PG
County that affect teenagers like us. So like last week, on March 5, 2011, we
went as a group to the Maryland Statehouse. I really did not know what to
expect, I figured that we would go, get a tour of the statehouse, eat dinner
somewhere and leave. Boy was I wrong… lol. So I got to the Prince George’s
County Administration Building ( where we were meeting to get taken there)at
4:30pm, outside the building was a “The Bus” bus, I ignored it, figuring it was
just picking up passengers. So I went
inside the building and found Mrs. Harris, the head of the Youth Commissioners
and we went downstairs to get on the bus, it actually was “The Bus” bus! I was
shocked; the county had set aside a special metro bus just for us! We got on
and waited for about 15 minutes for the rest of the people to arrive, and then
we were off. We got to the Statehouse at about 5:45, when we got there we went
inside a smaller building, that state committees met in, I forget what it was
called, we watched about a 10 minute video about Maryland’s ____ branch and how
it worked. I was thinking in my head “Ok yea it’s definitely just a typical
tour.” After we finished our video we met our tour guide and she walked us to
the main building of the statehouse. I had absolutely no idea that there were
miles of underground tunnels under the Maryland Statehouse, so we walked
through those tunnels to something called the Bill Room. It was where every
bill that had ever been passed since the beginning of American History was
stored, the best part about it, you could have a copy of any bill that had ever
been passed for free. I was going to ask for one, but we didn’t have time. From
there we went upstairs to the main building where the House of Representatives
room and the Senate room were. We went inside both since they weren’t in
session at the moment. From there we went to the old House of Representative
and senate room (The ones that were used during the Revolutionary and Civil
War). They were being renovated. By this time it was probably about 6:45, so we
went to get something to eat, the tour guide and Mrs. Harris just told us to
follow them, so we did. Little did we know what was about to happen. They took
us to a large reception that was going on, with about 400 people in attendance,
most of them people in politics, most of the PG county commissioners were
there, as was the governor of Prince George’s county, and many senators and
representatives. We were led to the front, where Senator Benson introduced us
to the group, and personally thanked each of us for our service. Afterwards we
ate dinner and traveled back to the Senate Room, so we could watch a session.
About 10 minutes into the session a freakishly large, super buff security
woman, came over to where we were sitting and told us to come with her, we
thought we had done something or were in trouble, but she took us outside, and
told us that we were being recognized by the senate, and that the President of
the Senate was going to introduce us, She took us out onto the Senate floor,
where the President of the Senate introduced us, the Senators gave us a round
of applause and then the media took a bunch of pictures…. Idk if we are gonna
be on the news or in any papers. Then we were taken back to our seats, where we
sat back down and watched the rest of the session. The session that we were in
they were discussing 2 bills. The first one was a normal one. It was a bill
that would raise the pay of Maryland’s judges by 7 percent over a period of 3
years, in order to raise the pay of Maryland’s judges (who were already making
6 figures), they were going to lower the pay of Maryland’s teachers. The Senate
voted against that bill. The second one however was super weird. It was a bill
that if passed, would allow people who had died to be posthumously harvested
for their sperm and eggs. I think that they were also talking about whether or
not the children created by the harvested eggs and sperm should get any of the
dead parents will. We left before they finished debating that bill, so idk if
it got passed. Well anyway that was my
awesome night at the Maryland Statehouse.

My Conversation With An Atheist
So I am a Christian who spends a lot of time on this site called Reddit. Yesterday I asked a question on it asking how many people on the site were Christians... I got over 100 responses from more than 100 people.... A lot of them were very hateful towards Christianity..... So here is something that I posted on Christianity, answering one guys challenge..... Do you guys think I was right, or came across to strong? Lol I think I might have gotten kinda carried away!!!
Here it is.....
He said: I'm an atheist here and I won't upvote you but I'm not going to downvote you I have no reason to do either. The reason people "bash" on Christianity is because they only hear about the people that take they're beliefs to a whole other level. Also because most Christians are ignorant and all they do is thank god for everything. It really pisses me off when someone tells me, "I have a gift from god" because they see me do something I'm really talented at. Because I didn't just practice for years to be good at something to be told I have a gift from god. I would rather be congratulated for my hard work. Christians think homosexuality is a sin and gay people are "abominations" so why should I respect any Christian? When they don't believe in equality of everyone. They don't welcome everyone into their way of worship. Christians also deny science. Science proves things and religion doesn't, you have no proof that any of the things in the bible happened. Its a fucking book... A book isn't enough proof that these things happened. The bible contradicts itself in many ways and then people use the, "that's the old testament, not relevant." Well that's what Christianity was before the new testament so why isn't it relevant? I'm not going to debate with anyone here simply because if I want to do that I would go to /r/atheism and because arguing over religion with a Christian is like playing chess with a pidgeon. You can explain the rules perfectly and play the game well, but the pidgeon will always just knock the pieces over, shit on the board, and fly away claiming victory. Because they don't use a logical way of thinking. If you're a Christian think about this right now... If god told you to kill me because I'm atheist, would you? If you say no than why are you a believer in an evil god? I'm not trying to spread Atheism, but I'm trying to get you to see what you believe in and if its something you really want to believe in.
Here it is.....

I
said :So yea thanks for not downvoting me, because I get a lot of that...lol,
Now I'm just gonna refute some of your points
right quick if you don't mind... Soo yea here we go....
*
Christians aren't ignorant. Now I will
admit that there are some ignorant people that are Christians, but that doesn't
mean that Christianity cannot be believed because of that. I know for a fact
that there are many ignorant atheists. There are ignorant people in every
religion, or lack of religion. For example a few Christians alive today that
are geniuses are :
1.
Ken Ham, a famous creationist who has dedicated his life to proving the truth
of creationism, he has a bachelors in applied sciences, a P.H.D. in literature
and writing, a Doctor of Divinity, and a Doctor of Letters.
2.
Ravi Zacharias, a famous apologetic who has dedicated his life to encouraging
Christians to think about Christianity for themselves instead of just blindly
listening to their pastor, who is human just like them. He has a Doctor of
Divinity, and a P.H.D. in Law. He has
been a visiting scholar at Cambridge University, studying moralist philosophers and literature of the Romantic era. Written
over 20 books and is currently a Senior Research Fellow at Oxford University
*
Homosexuality is a sin, however I think
that you are referring to the Christians who are hateful and spiteful of
homosexuals, and believe that homosexuality is a dreadful disease that must be
purged from the earth or else God will come back and kill us all!!!! Lol that
is what some Christians believe, however that is not what all Christians
believe… Many Christians, like me believe that homosexuality is a sin, however
it is no more wrong than me stealing an candy bar, or having sex with someone I'm
not married too. It says in the bible in Matthew 7:5 to "take the log out
of your own eye before you try to take the speck out of your brothers. I
interpret that as meaning that since I have my own sins that I commit on the
regular, how can I justify trying to judge another person as being a bad
person, or that I am better than them because they have done something. I have many homosexual friends who know that
I am a Christian, and I don't try to change who they are, I simply love them
regardless. I believe that God will judge them in heaven for being a
homosexual, just like he will judge me for stealing, or for having sex outside
of marriage, or the thousands of other sins that I have committed. I try to
live my life according to Matthew 7:2-5 which says For in the same way you judge others,
you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.
I think that verse is pretty self explanatory. I think that this belief about
homosexuality that I have just covered is the belief that many Christians
uphold.

Christians don't deny science, lol that
is absolutely absurd…. The only science that we do not accept is the theory of
evolution. We believe that the universe was created in 7 days, however that is
a theory too. Neither one have been proven, they both have much evidence that
points in their favor, as they both have many flaws that point against their
favor. They are both theories. I for one thing believe in creationism, however
it takes faith to believe either one, and that decision is purely up to you.
*
We do have proof that many of the events in the Bible happened. There is proof
written in Roman records by a atheist historian (lolJ) named
Josephus that a man named Jesus Christ really existed, and had a strong
following of people, he also goes on to say that he was crucified by the romans
in about 33 B.C.E. (that means "before common era). By the way he wrote
all of this before the New Testament had even been written. The first book of
the New Testament that was written (Mark) was written between 65 B.C.E. and 72
B.C.E. There is substantial evidence that the Israelites did
live in Egypt at one point, and that they were eventually enslaved ( check
out http://www.christiananswers.net/q-abr/abr-a027.html
for more information)
*
You say the Bible contradicts itself… lol people say that all of the time, but
they can't normally find one good way it does…. So I challenge you to tell me
how it contradicts itself.
*
And about the pigeon thing…. that had me cracking up…. rofl…
*
What is un logical about our thinking? lol I think I have been perfectly
logical in everything that I have said. I have also explained myself very
clearly….
*
And to answer that last point, I will answer that question with another
question, lol If your wife, who you loved very deeply and trusted with all of
your heart told you that someone needed to be killed, even if you didn't agree
with her, wouldn't you at least think about it, because you know that she would
never ask such a horrible deed to be done without a Extraordinaaarily,
extremely, justifiable reason for it. So I personally don't know…. Call me a
radical, but I would at least give some serious consideration to it.
So
I want to say this to wrap things up, I am a Bible believing Christian, as you
can see for yourself from this paper, however I do not just blindly believe
because my family or friends do… I believe because I choose too….. The proof
may not totally be there for the truth of the Bible or for Christianity, but it
is my choice. If you would like to continue this argument on /r/atheism, then I
would be happy too… I hope that you seriously think about everything that I have
just said… lol I know that it is pretty darn long, I got kinda carried away. I
think that you should seriously open your mind, and seriously think about this
question : Is there a God, and how does he fit in with the world. I know that I
will definitely think about and seriously consider the points that you have
just raised. oh and this is pretty random, but since this is /r/teenagers , lol
how old are you.

My Results From The Food Drive
Hello,
As many of you know I spent most of December doing a food drive. I had originally planned to send all of the
donations to the Capital Area Food Bank in Washington D.C. When I tried
contacting they did not respond to any of my calls or emails (I attempted to
contact them at least 4 times and they did not answer). Since they did not answer my calls I decided
to find somewhere else to donate my food. I called the church (Grace Brethren
Church of Clinton) and asked if they had any idea what to do with all of the
food that I had collected. As it turned
out they had begun the process of starting a food bank. They had achieved nonprofit status with the
government but had barely any food. God in his providence used me to bless the
church and an unnamed number of people through your donations. With you guys help I collected over 400
pounds of food. I would like to formally thank you for all of your donations,
prayer and emotional support throughout this endeavor. Without you guys help
none of this would have been possible. You have helped an unknown number of
people by blessing them with food and through these donations, a person might
come to know Christ. Even though I did
not win the scholarship money, it is okay because I have blessed people. It
says in the bible in Mathew 25 : 34-36 Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed
by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the
creation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me
something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a
stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I
was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’
That is my ultimate goal, not to win money for college. So if you think about
it, I did win in God’s eyes.
In Christ,

How The Lion Instilled Fear Into The Animals
How The Lion Instilled Fear into the Animals
Once
upon a time, before men had begun to build our magnificent buildings, before we
had begun to build any buildings, when the world still belonged to the animals,
there was a beautiful creature. He had a long curly tail, soft golden yellow
hair, a large furry mane and intelligent, thought provoking, brown eyes. He was
muscular from head to toe; every inch of him bristled with muscle. God had
named this creature a lion. Now in order for you to understand the story I must
delve off the main story and explain some things to you. In his time animals
were much different than today in many ways. For starters most of them were
vegetarians, and the ones that did eat meat only ate dead animals. They had
small kingdoms which were ruled by one race of animals (In this story we will
only talk about one of these kingdoms). This particular kingdom was in what is
now called South Sudan; it was located on the savannah, and was ruled by lions.
This kingdom was medium sized with about 15,000 animals of all kinds and about
50 lions. These lions were not like today’s lions, they, like most animals,
were vegetarians; however the most extraordinary difference between the lions
of then and the lions of now is that back then they ruled the kingdom
peacefully, justly, and fairly. They treated all of their citizens with respect
and treated them like close friends. One day the animals of the savannah
decided that they did not want to be ruled by a few people any more. They
decided that they wanted to make their own decisions and to be governed by
people that they chose, with the majority deciding the major decisions. They
started to practice and train for a revolt, (which was no small task for
creatures who had never killed a living thing before) they spent months
learning to bite, kill and to be ruthless in their behavior. On the 3rd
day of the 7th month that they had been training they struck. They
attacked and ruthlessly murdered the lions, who despite their bodies being
built for killing had no training or experience in killing because they never
had before. They killed dozens of lions. Soon there were only 10 lions left (This
is where the young lion comes in). The young lion became furious; he assembled
all of the remaining lions, which were scattered all over the savannah. They
went in to hiding from the animals. While they were in hiding they trained and
learned the most painful ways to kill the animals. After a number of days they
planned their attack. They planned to attack them when the animals were
gathered together to elect a leader. They planned to burn all of the grass and
vegetation on the savannah. After that they would let the lack of food weaken
the animals, and then they would kill them at leisure. Their plan worked
perfectly. They killed thousands of animals in mere months. Soon there were
only a few hundred animals left. The lions soon realized that they were in
quite a predicament. With no animals or vegetation left the
lions began to starve. They were still furious however and not ready to forgive
the animals. After much discussion and argument, they compromised and decided to have just enough animals to keep
everything going and the rest they would kill and eat. That is why today the
animals on the savannah fear the lion and the lion kills the animals. The moral
of this story is to think about the consequences of your actions and then act
accordingly.

My First Play
My First Play:
lol i guess its becoming obvious that i love to write stories.. Here is a play that I wrote last night for my performing arts teacher. Me and my friends performed it today in class and got a standing ovation.... I apologize for all of the cussing, I just wrote what I felt would help the audience best relate to the characters.Man (Adam Y. Edwards) : I am a man, I am on my deathbed, I’m the sole survivor of my family, the rest were killed in the collapse of the World Trade Center on September 11,2001, the only reason that I am still living is because I was recovering from a heck of a hangover that day and was to sick and tired that day to get to my father’s 67 birthday on time. They were on the top floor, in the restaurant in building number 1. Hah, where was there God then huh. All they wanted me to do was to meet them sober and on time at 7:30 to surprise dad. But no, I’m too much of a fuckup to even do that correctly, instead, as soon as I was recovered enough from my hangover I ran to the nearest bar and got stone cold drunk again, when they announced on the TV that the tower had been hit I was so drunk I thought I was watching an action movie. A little bit after that I went outside and passed out in a sloppy heap. I was soon awakened by the sound of sirens wailing, people screaming and firefighters rushing away from something, as I reached to rub my groggy eyes I noticed that they were covered in a thick dust. I began to throw up and cough from the fog, only to realize that it wasn’t fog I was inhaling, but in reality a fine cloud of floating dust and debris, I ran, filled with nothing but the urge to survive, when I finally got out of the dust, I curled up in a ball and slept. When I awoke the horrifying reality hit, me the world trade center had fallen somehow with my parents and family in it. The “movie” I had been watching had really been live footage of the plane hitting the buildings. Now for most people this depressing reality would have driven them into the arms of a close family member or to the doors of a church, but no not me, I had no family left and I wasn’t gonna go to no church. So instead I drowned it in the very thing that caused all of this mess for me in the first place, the bottle. My best friend and my worst enemy. I should be dead with my family, why the hell was I the one that survived and them the ones that died. They were the best people I had ever met, they never did anything wrong, they broke their backs to send me to a good private school even though I spat in their faces. They still loved me through all of the hell that I brought them through. It was at that moment in my life that I decided that I would kill myself and join my family wherever the hell I was. I figured if there was a God he either didn’t give a damn about me or he had turned his back on the world. I went to my parent’s house and in their master bathtub, slit my wrists with a piece of glass. When I woke up doctor, I was here with by wrists bandaged and a throbbing headache.
Doctor (Mariah
Huggins): Well you are in New York Mental Hospital in the Psychiatric Ward.
You were discovered soon after you slit your wrists by your parent’s next door
neighbor. They said that they heard someone in the house breaking things and
making a racket and thought it was a robber and went to investigate and found
you in the bathtub. We bandaged you,
brought you hear and place you on 24 hour suicide watch. I am your psychologist
while you are here and in order to help you I need to ask you a few questions.
Now why did you choose your parents house to commit suicide? Why not someon……
Man interrupts her...
Man (Adam Y. Edwards): It’s none of your business doctor, I have already told you much more than you need to know about me and I really don’t feel like talking anymore. I’m pissed off, depressed; my family just died somewhere I should have been. I really don’t feel like hearing your Goddamn psychoanalysis right now. Get the hell out of here and let go back to being depressed.
Doctor( Mariah
Huggins): Have you ever thought about this, that maybe other people died in
this terrible crisis than your family. I don’t know if you have watched the new
in the past few days but thousands of people have died, they are saying that
this was worse than Pearl Harbor. I lost my husband in this crisis, do you
think I’m hurting, hell yea I am, but you don’t find me somewhere crying about
it. No instead I am here at this Goddamn hospital listening to you rambling on
about how horrible your life is… I know that most doctors don’t talk like this
to their patients but I’m sick of it, for the last half hour you have boo hoo’d
about yourself…. The world doesn’t revolve around you, nor are you the only one
hurting.
Man (Adam Y Edwards):
GET OUT OF HERE!!!!! NOW!!
Doctor (Mariah
Huggins): Sobs and leaves. Goes to
her office and watches him on a security camera.
Demons enter from opposite ends of stage
Demon 1 (Isaiah Thompson):Yes, kill yourself.
Demon 1 (Isaiah Thompson):Yes, kill yourself.
Demon 2: (Eric Perry):
Your worthless, you killed your family, you stupid diphthong.
Demon 1 (Isaiah
Thompson): God doesn’t exist
Demon 2: (Eric
Perry): God abandoned you
Demon 1 (Isaiah
Thompson): That doctor hates you.
Demon 2: (Eric
Perry): You’re a homeless man with no future, a crappy past, no money
whatsoever, and no life.
Demon 1 (Isaiah
Thompson): You’re a selfish, evil, drunken menace to society.
Demon 2: (Eric
Perry): You have the equivalent of a 5th grade education.
Demon 1 (Isaiah
Thompson): You’re a 37 year old man who has never held a job for more than
2 months in his life, the New York times named you New York’s drunkard, your
high school voted you least likely to succeed, you even failed the 9th
grade 4 times.
Demon 2: (Eric
Perry): You’ve been sent to jail twice.
Demon 1 (Isaiah
Thompson) and Demon 2 (Eric Perry): So kill yourself you worthless piece of
shit. You will just be doing the world a favor.
Man (Adam Y Edwards):
Grabs head, sinks to knees, knife
trembling in hand, screams in rage, raises the knife, stands up, swings the
knife downward towards his wrist…
Doctor (Mariah
Huggins): Sees him with knife in hand
on camera ,runs into room and places her own wrists in front of the knife, thus
sacrificing her life so he would live.
Man (Adam Y Edwards): Gasp’s in horror
Doctor (Mariah
Huggins): Remember, you always have something to live for. Even though it
may seem like there is no hope, God has a plan. Now go live your life. Doctor dies
Man (Adam Y Edwards):
Man screams out in pure, undefiled
anguish, WHY GOD, WHY HAVE YOU DONE THIS TO ME. Man slits his wrists and slowly bleeds out, thinking of his life and
the things that could have been done different.

How the Giraffe Got its Neck
How the Giraffe Got its Neck by Adam Y. Edwards
Long ago far before man, when the
world was just beginning God was thinking. He was in the process of creating
the creatures to inhabit the earth. He decided to make special animals to lead
the others. He thought of a sleek, black, catlike creature that would use fear
to control the other animals in the jungle (the panther). He thought of another
animal, this one a large, undersea creature with sharp teeth, large jaws, and
special “radar” to detect underwater prey from a long way off (the shark). This
one, like the panther largely ruled his kingdom using fear and intimidation.
God placed him in charge of the ocean. But God wasn’t finished; he made yet
another animal, this one much smaller, to rule the colder areas of the world.
This creature was the smallest but most terrifying of all. This creature had a
grey, sleek coat of fur to keep it warm, long sharp teeth with jagged edges to
rip the flesh off of any creature who dared to opposed it, but that’s not it,
he made this creature a pack of smaller but still terrifying animals just like
it to help it accomplish its goals.
He had made a ruler for every
different place in the new world except for one…. The African prairie. He spent
day’s thinking of the perfect animal, but still his mind was devoid of it. On the fifth day he grew frustrated, dark
clouds rolled over the earth, thunder pealed, and lightning flashed,
earthquakes rattled the earth. Hearing the commotion his young son, Jesus ran
to his father “STOP!!!” he shouted. “Don’t take your frustration out on the
world.” he begged, “why don’t you make the animal peaceful, gentle and humble
instead of violent, domineering, and intimidating.” He said. “That’s preposterous, get out of my sight!”
That evening however, he thought
about what his dear son had said and decided to try his idea.( After all, they
were both the same person!)Unfortunately however all of his powerful (strength,
size, confidence, bravery) materials and characteristics) had been used on the previous
animals. The only traits that were left
were beauty and intelligence . God worked for hours on this animal. The result
was stunning. The animal was about 5 feet long with beautiful, yellow fur. It
was brilliant too; its intelligence surpassed all other animals except for 2:
the serpent and the human. He was so intelligent even, that he and God
conversed with each other sometimes, and God considered him his best creation.
In time however he became prideful and started to take advantage of the
other animals. He stopped treating them as equals and started treating them as
slaves. He even had forced them to begin making a shrine to him. When God heard
about his cruel, dishonest, prideful ways he cursed him saying”you have lost my
blessing, I will take from you your beauty: your yellow fur will be ruined with
brown splotches, your head will be dented and ugly, your neck will become long
so that your height will alienate you from the other animals, and worst of all
you will lose your ability to talk and your intelligence and you will become
dumb like the others.
Terrified, the giraffe ran away from
God. He ran past his shrine, he ran for hours, while he was running he tripped
and hit his head on a rock leaving a long narrow dent in his forehead. Still terrified
he got up and continued to run, disoriented, he tripped again and fell in the
mud, when he rose, as God had told him, he had dirty brown splotches all over
his body. Too tired to run, he walked for a little while and saw something
shiny in a thicket; sticking his head in the thicket he searched around, hoping
it was some sort of food. He searched and searched but he couldn't find
anything but leaves. When he tried to pull his head out of the thicket he
noticed that he was stuck. He pulled and
pulled and pulled, but he couldn't pull his head free. The more he pulled the longer his neck got,
finally after about 8 hours of being stuck God came and freed him from the
thicket.
Sobbing, the giraffe begged him to
change him back to a beautiful creature. “Your physical change is complete” God
said.”From now on you will be a stupid, mute creature just like the rest of the
animals.” The giraffe tried to scream but the only thing that came out was a
muted garble. The giraffe's transformation was complete; he had been
transformed from a beautiful, cunning creature into a long-necked, dented fore
headed, ugly creature.
